Overview

Cardigan Castle is a castle overlooking the River Teifi in Cardigan, Ceredigion, Wales.

Currently run by a charitable trust and with twenty separate supply meters. Business Sense were contacted to help change energy suppliers as the current supplier would not release them from their contract due to invoice discrepancies.

As a result, the energy portfolio was now on out-of-contract rates with significantly higher charges leading to cash flow difficulties.

Solution

Due to the clients request and the amount of meters involved, Business Sense stepped in and contacted the supplier to release information.

When the information was received Business Sense acted swiftly to update the twenty meter readings, arrange for contract terminations, and twenty new supplier agreements were put in place.

Result

Cardigan Castle were set up with lower rates than with their previous supplier and refunds were recovered due to overbilling on estimated readings.

Business Sense saved the organisation 27% on energy costs and is now looking at the card payment processing area of the business where significant savings can be achieved.
